Designing a “Thinking” Farm Management System: My First Product Management Experience

  • 65 reads

January 2024-January 2025

What if a farm could sense its environment and plan operations on its own? As a product manager for the “Happy Farm” project, I worked to make that vision real.

  • Defining the vision: The system would integrate IoT data on soil, water, light, and pests, while supporting leisure agriculture supervision.

  • From concept to prototype: I used prototyping tools to design interactive interfaces and mind maps to structure complex functionalities clearly.

  • Bridging tech and design: I coordinated with front- and back-end teams (C+, SpringBoot, Golang, Java) to align development with design intentions and managed JS interfaces to ensure smooth integration.

  • Iteration and delivery: Gathering user feedback during testing, I refined the system and compiled a comprehensive user manual for final delivery.

This experience showed me that great digital products are born from deep user insight and precise engineering, not just code.
