In peri-urban communities, public safety and health management often struggle with limited manpower and low efficiency. In Zhouqu Town, Changzhou, I explored how AI vision could enhance governance.
Smart waste monitoring: AI cameras at six waste stations automatically detected improper dumping, triggered voice alerts, and reported incidents, forming a complete “detect–remind–handle–track” loop.

Drowning prevention systems: Cameras using Smart Event Definition algorithms detected dangerous behaviors near water bodies, issuing immediate audio warnings and pushing alerts to local managers’ phones.

Human–machine collaboration: I optimized workflows so managers could remotely verify alerts through live footage before responding, reducing false alarms while ensuring swift action.
This project revealed how technology can empower rather than replace people, helping limited resources protect communities more effectively.
